Changing Career Direction

How to Make a Career change in your 30’s, 40’s, 50’s plus.

Some critics will say it’s never a good time to change your career direction or find a new job, especially as the years start passing. I totally disagree! With age comes experience, wisdom, savvy, self-assurance, confidence, freedom, and most of all determination. I have reinvented myself several times during my career and it has always worked out for my family, career, employers and most importantly for my future goals. There’s also always the possibility that your new career will prove to be more lucrative or stable in the long run, too.
I have always had the mind-set that people are resilient and can achieve more than they think they can. Unfortunately, there will always be naysayers and toxic people who will try to discourage you or think they know what is good for you. Switching companies or industries could be the best decision you ever make for your professional life. According to Robert Half’s Job Optimism Survey, 46% of U.S. workers wanted to change their careers, and many who are unhappy in their current positions go on to find more fulfilling careers, regardless of their age.
